GUEST BOOK

Dear Woody, Please accept my deepest sympathy for the passing of your mother. She was a wonderful lady. Not only was she a great neighbor and friend to my mother, she was the best teacher I ever had. We will all miss her. I hope to make it to the funeral, but if not, please know that you and your family are in Pam's and my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely,

- George Wood, Statesboro, GA

Edith was always a good friend to my mother, Louise Wood. My family considered her as a member of our family. She was there with us when my mother died.

- Sylvia Wood Exley, Marietta, GA

MRS. CHASTAIN WILL BE MISSED. SHE WAS ONE OF THE BEST NEIGHBOR AND PRINCIPAL.

- nancy hiers, thunderbolt, GA

Woody, Steven, and Paul: Aunt Edith will be missed greatly. My boys had the chance to meet her in April this year, we stopped by on our way to Pulaski and took a few pictures with her. I have been meening to send them to her. However, time slipped away from me. Words can be so empty at a time like this, I found that out when Daddy passed away in december last year from a heart attack. But life goes on slowly. The only thing that comforted me was a final letter/poem that I wrote to him and had cremated with him, maybe it will offer you nd the boys some comfort ad well as remind you of days gone by. I don't know if I will be able to attend the viewing, but the boys and I will try to see you monday at the funeral. All our Love and Prayers, Michelle,Jeff, JT and Billy Daddys Funeral Prayer When I felt there was no hope, I saw your love in the eyes of a friend. When I had no joy, I heard your laughter on the wind. When my heart was full of dust--I bathed in your light and was renewed. When I was a frightened little girl you held me safe in the circle of your arms. Blessings to you my father for your love and strength. May I never forget your love within me. May the air carry your Spirit gently to the heavens. May the Fire release your soul. May the Water cleanse you of your fears. And the Earth recieve you. Be strong. Be free. Be proud of who you are and who you have been. Know that you will be mourned. No one can replace you. Know dear father that you are loved and beloved by all. May you pass through the gates and enter the dark without fear. Rest, heal, and groe young again for you will ever remain in our hearts and memories. Blessed Be.

I am sorry to hear about Aunt Edith's passing. I am thankful that we were able to see her in May. I am sorry that our family will not be able to come to the funeral since my dad, Judson, is still struggling with issues from his stroke. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. She will be greatly missed, but I know that we will one day see her again.
